Day 22 ~ Toffee Bon Bon, Dog about Town & Urban Miss
Well I promised to tell you about the pesky cat Baker-Boy. I’m not really sure that he deserves space on my blog to be honest! He can be dastardly and has a very sharp end. The Food Provider says he’s a useful cat to have around because he is ‘dog-savvy’ and he tests the foster dogs for their worthiness to live with cats. Seemingly I can live with cats. No-one asks me if I want to live with cats. I could really manage quite well without them thank you very much.
Baker is black and white, which is good, because I can spot him in the dark. I need to see him as well! I’m sure he has inbuilt radar to detect dogs. He has several places around the house that he hides, but head toward the stairs and he appears as if by magic. There’s just no way that I can get up or down without having to pass him. The very first time I met him I had no idea how pesky he could be, and he bopped me on the nose as I walked by. There I was, minding my own business, my very first night in the mad house, not having a clue where I was going, and BOP!
He still tries to get me sometimes as I go by, but now that I am stronger, The Food Provider doesn’t have to protect me, and I can dash by avoiding his claws. I leave him in a spin on the stairs wondering where I went. I never chase him or bark at him. Lily says she chased him a few times when she first came to the mad house. She doesn’t chase him now; she backs right off and won’t go past him unless The Food Provider is with her. She won’t say what happened, but I suspect he gave her a bloody nose! Lily’s a bit of a wimp on the quiet, but for heaven’s sake don’t tell her I told you!
I am signing off early tonight my friends. I am feeling a bit out of sorts, nothing much, I just want to cuddle down and get an early night. I have Rubigan next to me on the bed; I gave him a kiss on the nose to say good night. He liked that and thought I was being ever so friendly, but really I just thought that if I have a bug, he can have it too!
